sunday evening, around sunset, i walked outside of greenstar and looked to the west hill. a faded pink sky gave contrast to the silihoutes of crows on a wire. the following morning i listened to the album seven swans by sufjan stevens. i began to paint the sunset sky, then the wire, the crows, then the telephone pole.
i took a step back, looked at the picture and couldnt help but think how similar the pole resembled a cross.
i was listening to the song “he woke me up again” by sufjan stevens, looking at the painting, and the crows began to sing hallelujah.
