The Auerglass is a two person pump organ created by Tauba Auerbach and Cameron Mesirow. The instrument cannot be played alone. Each player has a keyboard with alternating notes of a four octave scale. Each player must pump to supply the wind to the other player’s notes.

Recently the beautiful and talented post-pop singer/songwriter Cameron Mesirow(aka Glasser, the girl on the right) released her debut album RING. “Her simple, minimal melodies and rapturous vocals are perfectly complimented by the album’s maximalist arrangements. The voice becomes a focal instrument, delivers abstract stories and sounds that drench the music in emotion without resorting to narrative clichés.”-

An artist and brilliant creative, Tauba Auerbach( the girl on the left), helped conceptualize this organ that was made right here in CANANDAIGUA, NEW YORK!! Auerbach has amazing artwork you can view here, including ink, acrylic and other abstract work. She fabricated the artwork for the Glasser’s new album. Check it out by clicking here. Read more about Auerbach in an interview here.

I have played this album at least 20 times, in the past week, and had no idea the depth behind the noise until I saw this video. DAMN!
